Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports are records required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and US Department of Transportation (USDOT), specified in Federal Law 49 CFR 396.11 and 396.13 that detail vehicle operational performance or issues observed by drivers prior to and after on-road commercial vehicle operation. Each driver operating a commercial on-road motor vehicle is required to complete and submit these reports daily.
