Servicing a 100-mile radius of the Northwest corner of Washington state since 1987, Faber Construction is a general contractor focused on vertical and heavy civil construction.
After a painful experience with another telematics provider, Faber canceled their contract to partner with Tenna.
“We had to learn the hard way that what was presented isn’t always reality…What we found was that the implementation experience was a nightmare. The costs that we incurred through that experience negated any benefit that was initially established.”
The implementation experience with Tenna was much different.
“Implementation started with [Tenna] coming out to visit us and giving us a crash course in implementation and really set us up for success with expectations. It was a very well-defined process and they gave us good hints and tricks that they’ve learned throughout their experiences.”
“As the platform has evolved, it has been a breeze to implement the new trackers. The visibility on the maps for the tracking devices is spot on, and easy to see on the map. Setting a geofence is easy and quick. The new platform has so many more options and yet is still user friendly… I love the app on my phone that I use to set up the new assets. It is a breeze to use.”
“The intentionality, the communication right from the start was excellent and I was able to communicate to different levels of Faber, from executive to the field. Throughout the process, we’ve never been lost about where we are. We’ve always known what the next action items were, what the goal posts were, what we were going to be working on next so the communication has been just A+ throughout.”
How Tenna Helped
“[Tenna] actually cares about our success. All the other companies were just ‘get them in door’ and go from there and throughout the process [Tenna has] shown through their intentionality that they actually value this process and it comes across loud and clear.”
“The most value I’ve had is communicating to the executive level here at Faber… Having a really defined path and the resources to back that up, and then the tangible deliverables from the Tenna platform makes it easy to substantiate what we are doing and where we’re at…All my check in conversations internally have been smooth and beneficial and as a team we are fully engaged in where we are and where we’re going.”
“What set Tenna apart from other providers is their construction experience, and their contextual knowledge. They know what a wheel loader is, they know what a dozer is and they know how the field engages with the equipment. The other companies are more transportation-oriented and a lot of those systems don’t translate well to construction.”
“In contrast to where we were at with our previous system, I had to be the project manager…with little to no communication, multi-tiers of hierarchy and not having an advocate for our success, it’s been fantastic for me to work with the Tenna team.”
