QR Code Technology

Quick Response Code (or QR Code) is a two-dimensional bar code technology that is a widely used throughout manufacturing and mobile applications. QR codes can be quickly read from any angle and can carry a wide variety of information.  They can be placed on nearly anything and are scanned with a specialized reader or mobile phone application. QR technology is a useful tracking application for a variety of asset types and can be easily seen by a scanner up to several inches away.

Asset Tags

Tenna’s QR code tags come in small and large sizes to fit any asset tracking needs ranging from handheld tools to large yellow iron equipment. For extra ruggedness, Tenna offers QR codes on both aluminum tags and resilient 3M labels. These tags are durability tested to withstand the harshest environments. They can be screwed, bolted, tied, or glued to the asset, lasting for many years and under extreme conditions.

QR codes can be read with any mobile devices using the Tenna App. The app quickly reads the QR code, decodes the information it contains, and relays this to the Tenna asset management system where the scan history is combined with its location information and any other details entered by the user.
